Who is Jessica Eppler?
- Songwriter, Producer, Co-Owner of The Prairie Scholars Llc and Velvet Syntax Publishing
Jessica Eppler started playing piano as a young child and began using the instrument to write songs in her early teens. She arrived at South Plains College in 2004 with an album of original recorded material and hasn’t stopped writing, performing, and recording since then. Jessica met and married Andy Eppler during these educational years. After college, she kept writing new material and fronted her all-original band Clandestine Amigo. They focused on live shows, and eventually put out a self-titled live EP in 2008. Clandestine Amigo came to an end when Jessica and Andy moved to Colorado in 2009. After the move, the two came together musically for the first time to form the all-original West Texas Soul duo, The Prairie Scholars. They put out their first album, "Strangers in the Modern Era" in 2010 and followed it up later that year with "Live Wires". They released their third album, "The Wasteland Ramble", in 2012. In 2013, they released both "Live Wires II" and "Wasted Tracks", a sister collection to their 2012 album. Jessica has continued her solo work by releasing, "Still No Empty Sky", in 2012, "Planted in the Wind", in 2013 and a solo piano album, "Dust Storm Dance", in 2014.
